In one of our recent newsletters, which covered the release of the new software version SV: Apr 8 2025 12:33:03, we briefly mentioned a new feature – Live Tacho Counters 2 (LTC2). In this edition, we would like to present this solution in more detail, as it brings significant benefits to day-to-day fleet management.
What is Live Tacho Counters 2?
It is an advanced version of the Live Tacho Counters function, enhanced with the ability to monitor the work and rest times of two drivers simultaneously. This is the perfect tool for vehicles operated by two-driver teams, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing real-time data transparency.
The key features of LTC2:
Detailed work and break time counters for Driver 1 and Driver 2
For Driver 1, as many as 29 counters are available, compared to only 22 in the previous LTC version
For Driver 2, as many as 29 counters are available, compared to only 4 in the previous LTC version
Configurable LTC2 frame transmission frequency
Compliance with ISO 16844 standard
Information including remaining driving time, time to next break, rest duration, and driver activity
New Tool – LTC2 Frame Decoder
To further simplify the integration process on your end, we have made an LTC2 frame decoder available at:
This tool allows you to manually decode the contents of the LTC2 frame, making it easier to understand the data structure and significantly reducing implementation time.
