Evolution of the S10 series: A new wireless standard at the same price

We continuously develop our solutions to make them as useful as possible for you. We have important news: soon all GPS terminals from the S10 series will be available only in the version with a built-in 2.4 GHz wireless module.

A breakthrough in monitoring automation

The transition to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology is a step toward a modern, hybrid architecture of telematics systems. Moving away from complex wiring in favor of wireless connectivity significantly expands system capabilities, offering you:

  • Instant equipment identification: The terminal automatically recognizes trailers, semi-trailers, and accessories equipped with BLE TAGs. This eliminates human error and the need for manual vehicle pairing in the system.

  • Barrier-free monitoring: Wireless temperature measurement and monitoring of door, gate, and hatch openings are performed without running meters of cables throughout the vehicle. This not only improves installation aesthetics but also eliminates the risk of wiring harness failures.

  • Time and cost savings: The lack of invasive wiring makes the installation of additional sensors up to 70% faster, enabling servicing of more vehicles in less time and at lower maintenance costs.

  • Longevity and range: The technology ensures stable communication over distances of several dozen meters, and dedicated wireless sensors can operate on a single battery for up to 5 years.

Security and deployment

We ensure that the transition to the new standard is transparent and hassle-free for you:

  • Full certification: The new version of the terminal has all the required certifications and approvals, ensuring compliance with regulations and the highest signal stability.

  • No price change: Despite the significant expansion of functionality and the addition of an advanced wireless module, the price of S10 series devices remains unchanged.

Configuration

To fully utilize the new wireless features in S10 series terminals, the device must be running firmware version SV: Dec 9 2025 13:55:34 or newer.


The Wireless communication module is disabled by default and can be activated using the configuration command: $AL+ZCONFIG4=PASSWORD,1,11.
